You find a notepad lying on a table. A marking on the cover states it is Jinji's personal notebook. It appears aged, and the pages have become tattered and discoloured; plus much of the writing inside has faded. Nevertheless, it is still serviceable.

It appears others have been here before you, as there are some signed notes from only a short time ago. Did people feel the need to announce their presence? Should you sign it, too? Suddenly, you notice something that gives you a fright! One of the comments has been responded to in a faded ink, and appears to have been signed by... Jinji? How can this be?!? Maybe 'The Human Gengar' is real after all!

Notes for leaving comments here

Always ensure that your replies are dated. The ideal way is to use four tildes (~~~~) to sign and date the comment. If you don't date a comment, I may ignore it, since I don't tend to read topics I believe are old. I would also prefer that new topics are placed at the bottom of the page, as I want to keep this page in chronological order, and since the Forums put newer posts last, I'm used to scrolling to the bottom to see new stuff. MediaWiki should do this automatically if you use the + button, but if not, please edit accordingly. However, DON'T move a discussion to the bottom if you are replying to an old comment here, unless you absolutely MUST grab my attention with it. --Jinji, The Human Gengar (Visit my lair) 23:56, 25 November 2010 (GMT}

Template Discussion

On the Move Set template, why not just bold STAB moves, and italicize broken moves, or something like that? I think it has more visual impact. Of course, you should still explain what the formatting means... --Jinji, The Human Gengar (talk|contribs) 02:47, 14 November 2010 (GMT)

I see my advice was taken already! --Jinji, The Human Gengar (Visit my lair) 02:48, 14 November 2010 (GMT)

American vs UK spelling

Looking at the recent changes you've made, I can see that you greatly prefer the wiki using the spelling common in the UK. I'm just going to let you know now, if you refer to the American spelling (e.g. color) as misspellings, then I'll probably be making a lot of spelling mistakes when it comes to the slight differences in the spelling of words between the two regions. Tenfold 23:37, 17 November 2010 (GMT)

Actually, those changes were incidental, and not the spelling mistakes I was referring to at all.
However, that reminds me of something. The matter of keeping language consistent over PWO media went to staff discussion a while ago and became a topic of discussion on the forums, and it was generally agreed that European spellings of words should be used in almost all cases. If this is going to cause trouble, then I suggest this is discussed with the Wiki editors. --Jinji, The Human Gengar (Visit my lair) 14:49, 18 November 2010 (GMT)
I actually discussed this with Lee last night. According to him, we'll be using the European spelling on the wiki articles. Still, I might make a few mistakes just based on the differences in conventions, which don't easily appear to me while editing. Anyways, I was skimming through the edits and it just seemed to me that quite a few of the edits were changes between alternate spellings, so I figured I would raise the point. At least now we have a clear direction on what to do with the differences in conventional spelling. Tenfold 03:50, 19 November 2010 (GMT)
Sweet, thanks for informing me of that! And hey, don't worry, we all make mistakes. That's why it's good we're all working together. And feel free to raise any more points you may have :) --Jinji, The Human Gengar (Visit my lair) 10:25, 19 November 2010 (GMT)
Better to work as one rather than a bunch of ones Ciaossu ~ Reborn 10:39, 19 November 2010 (GMT)

Staff template

Official Staff

Jinji is an official Developer in Pokemon World Online. You can verify this on the Pokémon World Online website where information regarding their role is available here.

I presumed you were referring to this: I've edited it so you can include the size of the box and where you want it floating to. It's my first attempt at messing with Mediawiki's template. If I mis-understood, feel free to comment. Ciaossu ~ Reborn 13:41, 24 May 2011 (BST)

That's exactly what I meant, Reborn. Thanks for the changes, they make it a lot easier to control how it's included in a page.
If you need any more help on understanding how templates work in MediaWiki, you may want to look at the Templates section of the User Guide on the official MediaWiki website; or just ask me for a hand as I'm fairly knowledgeable on templates.
Keep up the good work. --Jinji, The Human Gengar (Visit my lair) 15:03, 24 May 2011 (BST)
Thanks for that, probably be worth a look at some point since the Help area will need finishing off at some point. Don't get why it changed in the first place... hmm Ciaossu ~ Reborn 19:42, 24 May 2011 (BST)

Staff page question

Do Wiki members Contributing to the website get to be included to the staff page? Voltahit 08:20, 24 May 2011 (GMT)

I have no idea what you mean... -Jinji, The Human Gengar (Visit my lair) 16:41, 24 May 2011 (BST)
I'm guessing what Volt is asking is do wiki members get their name listed on the staff page. Whether referring to the wiki staff article or the Playerdex staff page, it's a no on both ends. Ciaossu ~ Reborn 19:44, 24 May 2011 (BST)
