Account Registration
Please note that e-mail verification is no longer part of the account creation process.
1. Before downloading the game, you should register an account, otherwise you won't be able to play. Note that registration isn't open 24/7. If registration turns out to be closed, check the forums or the front page for information regarding when registration will be open again. To register, you need to fill the form over on the Playerdex. Note: A registration link will be provided on PWO's twitter when the registration period begins.
2. Read the Terms of Service before you register. Some of the rules listed on it are very important to remember in order to keep your in-game record clean so be sure to take a few minutes to look it over. The Terms of Service is linked at the bottom of the main website.
3. When the registration page finishes loading, scroll down, give your e-mail address, make your in-game name (IGN) & password, and then select a gender. Click Register. You're username and password must be at least four characters long, contain no special characters, and must not start with a numerical character. Note: It is strongly suggested to mix both numbers, lower-case, and upper-case letters to create a strong password.
Before clicking on Continue, you will be given a randomly generated Registration Code. This code must not be modified. If it is modified, it will give you an error.
4. After clicking on continue, if the text "Successfully registered!" appears under the registration form, you may close Playerdex. If you need to download the client then go here. Open up Pokemon World Online and start playing (as long as the server is up). Your character should start at Starters Island.
Troubleshooting
- When I try logging in, it says "Invalid Username & Password."
- Several things could have happened in the registration process. First, make sure that the username that you registered does not conflict with an already existing username. You can do this by running a username search through the Playerdex. If there was a conflict between usernames, your registered username will have a '1' added to the end of it.
- For example: If you try to register Bluerise, a username that is already taken, you will actually register the account Bluerise1 (assuming Bluerise1 is not already taken).
- For this reason, it is suggested that you search for the username you want to register well before the registration period begins so that you avoid the conflict issue altogether.
- Once you figure out what username you registered under, you're going to need to run a password reset on that account using the e-mail you registered. The password reset form can be found here. Assuming the e-mail server is not at its limit (which resets at 13:00 GMT, or 8:00am EST), you will receive an e-mail sending you a new password that you can use to log into your account (at which point you can change your password through the Playerdex).

- When I go to Playerdex, it says "Error, Can't Find Page."
- When registration opens, usually the traffic gets busy therefore causing you to get this error or experience lag, keep trying.
- Submission error
- If you get 'Submission Error' then that usually means that you are either typing the image code incorrectly or using a username that is already in use.
- Tips for image codes:
- All codes are to be typed in Capital letters
- For numbers you are using only 2-9
- If you see either a 1 or a 0 then it is a capital I and a capital 0.
- If using Firefox or Google Chrome try opening the code in a new window/tab and type that one out
- If there is code appearing below the form, then refresh the page till it no longer appears.
