Cerulean Cave Quest
The Cerulean Cave Quest grants you access to Cerulean Cave.
Requirements
- You need to have all the 16 gym badges from Kanto and Johto, so you can access to Mt. Silver.
- You need to have 400,000 Pokedollars, so you could buy the Ancient Gem from the Musuem in Pewter City.
- You need a Dragon Scale, which can be acquire by completing Whirl Islands Quest, or drop from battling Horsea and Seadra.
- You need to have a Wind Surfboard, so you could complete some part of the quest.
Walkthrough
1. Go to Route 22 or Route 27. Enter the Reception Gate (border) that splits Kanto and Johto. 2. Talk to the NPC Gate Guard that stands in the middle center of Reception Gate, it will takes you 2 steps forward so you could access to Mt. Silver. 3. Follow the route until you get to Mt. Silver, then make a turn back to a house in Route 28. 4. Enter the house in Route 28, then talk to NPC Gerald, he wants you to bring him a Dragon Scale (please refer to Requirements). 5. NPC Gerald wants you to bring him an Ancient Gem that cost 400,000 Pokedollars, which can be buy from the NPC Scotty in the Musuem of Pewter City. 6. Bring the Ancient Gem you bought from NPC Scotty back to NPC Gerald in Mt. Silver. 7. NPC Gerald wants you to talk to his friend in Ruins of Alph after you completed step 6. 8. Travel from Mt. Silver to Ruins of Alph. 9. As you reached Ruins of Alph, go to the direction of southeast. You should now see an area of water. 10. Surf down the water and you should see an entrance. 11. Talk to NPC Ruin Maniac Carl, he will tell you some letters. You need to memorize the letter he said because NPC Gerald will ask for his's answer. In case you forget, talk to NPC Ruin Maniac Carl again. 12. Travel back to Mt. Silver and talk to NPC Gerald, he will ask you for NPC Ruin Maniac Carl's answer. Tell him the answer. 13. Congratulations, you had successfully completed the quest. You will now grants access to Cerulean Cave!
