Common Terms

This is a list of some terms and abbreviations found in the game (and many other games as well).

[S]	Shiny: A pokemon which is sparkly and is a different color than its normal counterpart. These pokemon also have stat bonuses and are highly sought after. (eg. [S]Zubat = a Shiny Zubat).
Buff	Any ability that increases the stats of your pokemon in a positive way.
Debuff	Any ability that affects your pokemon in a negative way.
Dev	Developer.
GL	Guild Leader.
GM	Game Master or Game Moderator
GML	Game Master in training. "GM-ling".
GUIDE	Those who mitigate, or solve problems and maintain order.
MMORPG	Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, PWO is one such example.
NPC	Non-Player Character, refers to a character controlled by the game's AI.
PC	Pokemon Centre or Personal Computer, which is in the Poke Centre.
Poke, Pokes, Pkmn	Short for Pokemon
Pots	Potions
Pball	Pokeball
PM	Private message. To do this, right click "Message" under a player's name.
PvP	Player versus Player, refers to battling another live person.
Relog	Close down the game and logging in again.
Rep	Reputation Points, points you earn for battling.
STAB	Same Type Attack Bonus. This feature does not currently exist in PWO.
FL	Fishing Level, levels go up the more you fish.
