Dragons Den Quest

The Dragons Den Quest is the hardest Quest in-game requiring a lot of patience and some information. It requiers you to run around and do muliple tedious errands for multiple NPC's in both Kanto and Johto in search for the Dragons Den. Once complete, you will have access to this area. If you want you can buy the following items before hand which you will need later on in the quest: Thunder Stone, Water Stone, Leaf Stone, MooMoo Milk, and 5 Super Potions.

Walkthrough

Step 1

You're first step is to begin the Quest. Make your way to Saffron City and speak to the old man in front of the building named "Scientist". After talking to him, you should of learnt that he doesn't know anything about the Dragons Den but that his friend in Cinnabar Island might know.

Step 2

Make your way to Cinnabar island and enter the research building, and speak to Edward. He'll tell you about that he's late on some work and should of collected some info on some dragon Pokemon and asks for your help. He tells you that he doesn't remeber what the first Pokemon is that he needs but tells you that it can be found in the Whirl Islands and that it drops a scale. The Pokemon he is talking about is a Horsea.

Step 3

Make your way to the Whirl Islands in Johto that are located to the South of Olivine City. Once there go inside the caves and surf for Horseas until one drops a Horsea Scale. Once you've found a Horsea scale, return to Eddey in the Research Lab.

Step 4

Eddie will thank you for find that Pokemon and that he needs one more Pokemon, He tells you that this Pokemon sheds it's skin periodically and also that the Science Lab has one of these. The Pokemon he's talking about this time is a Dratini.

Step 5

Make your way to the Saffron and go into the Water lab. You'll have to search for a Dratini and KO it for it to drop a Dratini Skin. Once you've aquaired it, return to Eddie.

Step 6

Eddie will thank you for helping him and tell you that he doesn't know where the Dragons Den is but that he knows a friend that might. He tells you to talk to a retired Guide NPC who lives in Cherrygrove.

Step 7

Go to Johto and go to Cherrygrove, once there enter the house in the middle of the two other houses at the bottom part of town to find the retired Guide there. All you simply have to do is help him live the dream of being a guide once more, simply keep talking to him and he will tell you that his friend who is a Pokemaniac by the name of Jimmy might now where it is, he tells you that his friend is located in Cinnawood city. Get to Cinnawood by surfing there or by talking to the ferri master to take you there. Once you speak to Jimmy he tells you that he wants you to prove yourself as a Pokemaniac as well. This means to have at least 150 Pokemon in your PC box and to of seen more then 150 different Pokemon as well. Once you have both requieremnts talk to Jimmy again and he will tell you that you are indeed a Pokemaniac, but that he doesnt know where they Dragons Den is but might know someone that does that's in Mt.Morter

Step 8

Make your way to Mt.Morter which is located to the East of Ecruteak City. Enter it and explore a bit until you find you're self to the differnt levels and find the NPC Jack. He will note to you that he saw a Geodude running around with a piece of paper, so here simply kill some Geodudes until they drop a "Kidnap note"

Step 9

Read the note and you'll get the hint to the next clue, your next stop is to talk to somebody in Mahogany named Albert. Talk to him about the Dragons Den and he will tell you that he can only give you a clue as to where to go next. The next place to go is to the east of there to the Ice Cave containg the Ice Path. In the Cave you will find an NPC named Don who will make you take a small quiz about Dragons who's answear can be found with a little research on the Web or on this very Wiki. If you fail to get at least 4/5 correct, you will have to wait 2 hours play time to be able to try again. Once you've answeared them all, he will tell you that your next clue is in a Town Haunted by gohst, this is obviously Lavendar Town in Kanto.

Step 10

Once in Lavendar go to the Pokemon Center and speak to Patrick there, he tells you that he doesnt know anything about the Dragons Den but knows a friend that might know in a city who's smell is unforgettable. This is the city of Celadon, go west from Lavendar town through Saffron or the Underground tunnel to get there. Once there get into the Restraunt that's located at the bottom right of the city. Speak to the NPC there named the Food Critic. He will tell you that he doesn't know anything about the Dragons Den but that his mother does, and that she loves to shop in malls. To find her you'll need to go to back to Johto, and into the Goldenrod mall.

Step 11

Once in the Goldenrod Mall, go to the very top floor and speak to the NPC named Cheryl there. She will tell you that she might know something about the Dragons Den but wants you to do her a favor. The favor is simply to return a pan from her frined Cindy in Olivine City. Make your way from Goldenrod to Olivine and talk to the NPC there named Cheryl that will be smashing bugs with a pan, as it turns out though that's not the pan of Cheryl, and her pan is intact. Cindy will give you the pan and now you must return back to Cheryl in Goldenrod mall. Once you've talked to her she'll admit that she really doesnt know anything about the Dragons Den but that her friend in Lavendar town who's mart has gone bankrupt might know something. So back to Lavendar Town in Kanto.

Step 12

Once in Lavendar Town talk to the old NPC lady thats next to the mart named Pokemart Owner, she will tell you that she knows about the Dragons Den but that you have to talk to her friend in Mahogany town named Cole. So go back again to Johto and go to Mahogany town and talk to the NPC there named Cole that's near the entrance. He will tell you that he knows where the Dragons Den is but only tells you a riddle.

Step 13

After talking to Cole simply go into the Pokemon Mart that looks like the house thats to the right and above the Cole NPC. Once inside there talk to the NPC named Guida. She too will also give you some question about dragons to solve, in this one though, there will be no penalty's for wrong answers. Once you've answeared all of them correctly, you can move on to the next step. Guida will tell you in riddels about the location of her friend thats a member of the Dragons Den Clan. You're next stop will be victory road, the road which you need to use to cross between Kanto and Johto, the house you are looking for is to the left when coming from Kanto. Once inside the correct house talk to the women NPC Clam Member Eve. She will tell you where the Dragons Den is as long as you complete some of her errands for her. This is simply to get 1 Thunder Stone, 1 Leaf Stone, 1 Water Stone and some MooMoo Milk which is found in the farm Above Olivine. Once you have all these items return to her and she will tell you that the Dragons Den is in Blackthorne City.

Step 14

Once you're in Blackthorne city, make your way up to the top of the city behind the Gym. There talk to the man gaurding the entrance. He will tell you that he wants to do one last test to see if you're worthy of entering. He tells you to go help out the Daycare in Johto in Route 34 South of Goldenrod City. Once there make sure to talk to the old man politley or you will have to wait 2 hours-Playtime, to talk to him again. He will tell you that he wants 5 Super Potions first. Run to the Mart of Goldenrod and buy 5 superpotions. Once you give it to him, he will tell you that you have to wait for a whole to see how the potions take effect on the Pokemon he's taking care of, which means you'll have to wait 2 hours play-time, to talk to him again. Once you've played for 2 hours, talk to him again and he will tell you that you need to get a special antidote from his friend in the Cinnawood Pharmacy, so run over there.

Step 15

Once you're in Cinnawood, go to the house that's above the Gym and enter the place, talk to the Pharmacist and he'll tell you that he can help you but that he's missing a key ingredient, a Herb. He goes on to tell you that a herb is sold in an the underground tunnel in Goldenrod city. So travel to Goldenrod and go to the right of the city and go into one of the buildings, you'll find one with and underground tunnel, follow it through and you'll find the NPC "Shopekeeper Mary". She'll tell you that she has the Herb but that it's the last one she has and that'll it'll cost you 5,000 if you want it. After you've obtained it, go back and talk to the Pharmacist in Cinnawood.

Step 16

Once you're back in Cinnawood, give the Pharmacist the Herb, he will tell you that he will need some time to prepare the antidote. Wait 2 hours play-time and talk to the Pharmacist again. Once he gives you the Antidote, go talk to the Daycare man again he will tell you that you're just in the nick of time but that before you go, to help him do one last favor. It's simply to go to Cerculean and recover a shovel from his old house. Make your way to Cerculean in Kanto and press spacebar in front of the door in the house above the Gym and you should of gained a shovel in your items pocket.

Step 17

Now go back to the daycare man and he will tell you thanks for helping him out. Once you've completed that, simply talk to the Dragon Den Gaurd in Blackthorne and he will grant you access to the Dragons Den! Congratulations!
