Fighting Dojo Quest

The Fighting Dojo quest grants you the chance to catch a Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan after completion.

The Fighting Dojo quest begins in Saffron City, in the Dojo which is located to the left of Sabrina's gym. After defeating all of the NPC's inside of the Dojo, you will be asked to answer a series of questions by the Dojo Master. Upon correctly answering his questions, you will be given the option of taking either an "Attack Scroll" or a "Defense Scroll". The Attack Scroll gives you the chance to catch a Hitmonlee, and the Defense Scroll gives you the chance to catch a Hitmonchan. Travel North to Route 25 and enter the Carved Cavern. At the very end of the Cavern you will see 2 NPC's, each one will only allow you to pass if you have a particular scroll. Upon presenting either the Attack or Defense Scroll, you will be allowed to enter the Splitting River Reserve where Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan are Horribly Rare pokemon.
