The Mareep Ranch-house Quest begins in the Mareep Ranch-house in Route 39 by talking to Jason. Jason wants you to train a Mareep into a strong Ampharos for him, so that he could supply the Thunderbolt TM to Department Stores. You also have to raise its happiness value until maximum. At the end of this quest, you will be given a TM24. Also, you'll then be able to purchase said TM in Department Stores for 5,000.

Walkthrough

The Mareep Ranch-house on Route 39.

Step 1

Enter the Mareep Ranch-house in Route 39. Talk to an NPC named Jason. Jason will ask you to train a level 10 Mareep into an Ampharos. You also have to raise its happiness value until maximum.

Step 2

The Mareep you received will be stored in your PC if your party's full. Simply train the Mareep until it evolves into an Ampharos. Then, focus on raising its happiness value until maximum, by fainting other Pokemon, or levelling up further. Although not recommended, Soothe Bell can also be applied on Ampharos to raise its happiness as well. To check its happiness value, simply set it as your first Pokemon in your party and talk to it.

Step 3

Once you've obtained an Ampharos with maximum happiness value, show it to Jason. He will reward you with 1 TM24. You can now also purchase said TM in Department Stores for 5,000.
