Mt. Moon is a mountain located in North Kanto. It is the first location for players who began in Kanto to obtain a Rock or Ground Type Pokemon. Players may choose to bypass Mt. Moon by paying the NPCs near the entrances PokémonDollar.png500 to get them to the opposite exit's Pokecenter, if coming from the East Side of the cave, players will be teleported to the front of the West sides Pokecenter, while if coming from the West side of the cave, players will be teleported to Cerulean City's Pokecenter. Theres is also a quest to be done in Mt. Moon, the Mt. Moon's Hidden Children's Quest which rewards players with money as well as Escape Ropes. Mt. Moon is also famous for being the only location in Kanto that sells Moon Stones.
