Mt. Moon is a mountain located in North Kanto. It is the first location for players who began in Kanto to obtain a Rock or Ground Type Pokemon. Players may choose to bypass Mt. Moon by paying the NPCs near the entrances 
500 to get them to the opposite exit's Pokecenter; if coming from the East Side of the cave, players will be teleported to the front of the West sides Pokecenter, while if coming from the West side of the cave, players will be teleported to Cerulean City's Pokecenter. There is also a quest to be done in Mt. Moon, the Mt. Moon's Hidden Children's Quest which rewards players with 15,000 as well as 3 Escape Ropes.
Mt. Moon is also noted for being the only location in Kanto that sells Moon Stones, for Template:Pollar10,000 apiece.

In the northeasternmost region of the ground floor, an NPC vendor will sell Moon Stones for {{Pdollar}10,000 each.
