Pallet Town is the first town you start in if you pick Kanto. In Professor Oak's lab, you will be able to choose from one of the three starters, which are: Bulbasaur, the grass-type Pokémon; Charmander, the fire-type Pokémon; or Squirtle, the water-type Pokemon. If one loses their starter Pokémon, and has no other Pokémon in their possession, they may speak to Professor Oak in the lab to reclaim it.

You can also enter into all the houses and talk to all the NPCs there, as well as the ones outside.

Ferry System

With a transportation ticket or actively usable train pass, players may ride the ferry to any of the other 5 designated destinations. Badge requirements will correspond to each area, otherwise they will not be accessible without the required badges.
