Route 19 a route located south of Fuchsia City, in Kanto. A small house, entitled "Kanto Surf Shack" is placed on Route 19; inside the shack, players may purchase a Wind Surfboard for the price of $200,000.

Route 19 also contains the entrance to the Cinnabar Tunnel, which is a series of caves that lead to Cinnabar Island, which is the only method of traveling to Cinnabar Island for players who do not have a surf board.

Players with a surf board may surf south to reach Route 20.
