Route 2

Kanto -Route 2
Location Route 2 is located here in the Kanto region.
↑ North Exit:	Pewter City
↓ South Exit:	Viridian City
Cave Entrance:	Digletts Cave

Route 2 is the final road you travel on before reaching Pewter City. Within it is the exceptionally large Viridian Forest. Route 2 is the first location you are capable of capturing a 2nd stage Pokémon. As well, it is the first location you can capture an Electric-type Pokémon.

Bypassing Viridian Forest

Route 2 offers players with the Thunder Badge of Vermilion City to maneuver to the right of Viridian Forest and go to either Pewter City, Viridian City, or Digletts Cave. There are 2 sets of NPC's that allow players to do this, one set at the northern end, and one at the southern end.

Bypassing Digglets Cave

In front of the Digglets cave, you can talk to an NPC which will let you pay 7,000 Pokedollars to teleport you to the other entrance of the diglett's cave in Route 11. However, if from Kanto, you will need to of had the first Badge from Johoto, and vice-versa to use this feature.
