Speed Tiers

Speed is an important stat that can often define the difference between winning and losing a battle. Knowing what max speed pokemon can reach is helpful when deciding what iv you are looking for on a particular pokemon and how much to ev train it in the speed stat. The list below includes relevant pokemon and their speeds under different conditions. Everything on the list is assumed to have 31 speed iv's because this is supposed to show the fastest possible variation of a poke with any set. Also, everything is assumed to be lvl 99. Below is an example of how to read the chart.

777 magikarp 252 +1 ss

The number 777 is the speed of magikarp at lvl 99 with 31 speed iv's. The 252 is the numbers of ev's the magikarp has. The +1 is the amount of boost magikarp has received. Boosts listed are either from the item "choice scarf", which provides a +1 boost, or from other speed altering factors such as agility, dragon dance, shell smash, or the ability speed boost. Lastly, "ss" is used to denote a pokemon under the influence of the swift swim ability in rain which doubles a pokemon's speed. Therefore, you can take from this that magikarp has a speed of 777 if it is lvl 99, has 31 speed iv's, has 252 speed ev's, has a +1 boost to its speed stat, and is in rainy weather. Lastly, when any factor is 0, it will not be included.
