Tokens

A token is an imaginary barter item. Whenever you donate to PWO's servers, you are gifted with tokens. Other ways to obtain tokens include in-game events and contests on the website.

Each token can be exchanged for a multitude of items on playerdex that will either provide you with an item in-game or with a vanity item for your account. The overwhelming majority of these donation items are found within the game or on the site already, so donating to obtain these is entirely optional.

Tokens cannot be traded between accounts; when a token appears on your account, the token is yours forever and nothing (except spending it) will change that. However, when you donate you are given the option of having the tokens appear on someone else's account. In this situation the tokens are permanently theirs, but you are the one that has donated the money.

Tokens can be exchanged for a large variety of prizes, including potions, Pokéballs, and most notably Pokémon at the token store.

Purchasing Tokens

As of November 7th, 2010, tokens can not be purchased through the PlayerDex (and therefore can not be purchased at all). This is due to the recent removal of the donations system. You can read about the issue on this thread.

Token Store

The token store on the PlayerDex is the place where users are able to spend their acquired tokens. While accessing any page of the token store, be careful not to refresh the page, as that may result in a loss of tokens.

Navigation

The token store's main page.

The first step to accessing the token store is to log into the PlayerDex. Make sure that you are logging in on http://www.playerdex.com.

Once you have logged on, in the top right hand corner click on the drop down menu and choose 'PDex Token Store'. This will take you to a similar window shown on the right.

On the top of the page, there should be a paragraph describing how many tokens you have. If the number seems off, click the Here in the last sentence to have your token count updated.

Located below the paragraph should be several options describing what is available for purchase. You could either buy a large Pokéball box, a medium Pokeball box, a small Pokéball box, or a Pokémon (among other items). Next to each item should be the token cost. Please remember for getting a Pokémon, you will require more tokens to actually purchase the pokemon (see token pokémon).

The PlayerDex store inventory page.

When you located what you wish to purchase, click the gimme button. Assuming you have enough tokens to cover the cost, you'll be taken to the confirmation screen, which will include a token summary. To confirm the purchase, click the button Gimme! Gimme! at the bottom of the screen.

Confirming the purchase will automatically redirect you to the PlayerDex store inventory. A screenshot of this page can be seen on the right. To activate any purchases that you bought, click the Activate! button to the side of the item you wish to activate. Then click the Activate! button on the next page to confirm the action.

A screenshot of the Pokémon selection screen.

If you chose to activate a Pokémon item, you will be taken to a screen to choose which Pokémon you want to purchase. On the right side of each Pokémon, you will see how many tokens that Pokémon costs. This can range anywhere from 4 to 14 tokens (see a full list of prices here). Please note that if you leave this screen without purchasing a Pokémon, you will still lose the item (and therefore you will have lost a token). You can change how many Pokémon you see per page by changing the settings located at the bottom of the page. Once selecting the Pokémon (done by clicking on the Gimme! button next to the Pokémon you wish to buy), you will be taken to a confirmation screen. Click GIMME! to confirm the Pokémon purchase.

You should have the Pokémon available in your team, to extra check click on My Pokemon on the Playerdex.

Token Pokémon

The following are all the Pokémon available through the token store and their respective prices. These prices do not include the one token that is needed to access the Pokémon list. It should also be noted that only some of these Pokémon are UC (uncatchable). These Pokémon have been identified by bold text.
