Points of Interest
The Manager NPC inside PokéMart have a quest for you, to recover stolen merchandise (dropped by wild Sentret at Route 29) from the store. For every 3 he will reward you a Pokéball.
Whenever special events are occurring, the Event Transport NPC will take you to the event map. Once the event is finished, NPC will no longer transport you there until next event is going on.

Points of interest
The Viridian City Gym is the 8th and last gym of Kanto. You will have to fight Blue who has Pokémon of different types: Pidgeot, Rhydon, Alakazam, Gyarados, Exeggutor and Arcanine.
Once you beat Blue you get the Earth badge. The Earth badge allows you to pass the npc on Route 22 which leads to the Johto falls and Johto if you have a surfboard.

Diglett's Cave is mainly the home of digletts and dugtrio's.
The pokemon in that area are between x and y levels so this is a good area to train lvl x to y pokemon that have an advantage against ground pokemon.
Diglett's Cave is also used as a passage between Route 2, close to Viridian City, and Route 11, close to Vermillion city.

From Nachty Train Station you can go to Pallet Town, Vermillion City and Route 20.
