The Viridian Forest quest grants you access to Viridian Forest Clearing.
Viridian Forest Quest
The quest begin with an NPC named Grandma Louis, located at the southwest of Viridian Forest. Grandma Louis will request you to show her a Butterfree. Butterfree can be obtained by catching it in Viridian Forest, or by evolving Metapod which evolves from Caterpie.
