The Whirl Islands Quest is a Quest started in Route 40 located to the west of Olivine City. To begin the Quest speak to the NPC named Meredith and she will tell you how a couple of her family members have gone missing in the Whirl Islands and if you can help her find them. Once you've completed the Quest, you will obtain a Dragon Scale as a reward.
Step 1
From Route 40, use your surfboard and surf downward to Route 41, keep going until you reach some rocks then go right and go down the path between the rocks and go into the little opening between the rocks and keep going into the path until you reach the land. Now you have to walk around and surf to the other side as shown in the picture to get to the opening in the cave.
Step 2
Continue right and down the step/ledge and go to the ladder next to Sailor Samuel, go down the ladder. Now continue down the path, go down the ladder and you will appear next to a man named Mitch. Surf down, go down the waterfall and go to the little platform with a ladder on it. Go up the ladder and surf across to the other side then go down the ladder on the side you surfed to, and then use the next ladder that appears. Now go down and out of the exit and you will see Mother Anne, talk to her and that’s 1 of 4 family members down.
Step 3
Get off the step and go right and keep going as shown in the picture to find Brother Julian, talk to him and that’s 2 of 4 family members down. Go down and walk up those stairs and up the ladder, once you’re up, continue walking up and out of the cave.
Step 4
Once out of the cave you’re going to have to walk right and surf around to the other side as shown in the pictures. Surf through the little opening and continue south once you’re out of the path between the rocks, go left and continue and you will see a path north so surf up that path, now continue surfing up a path between two islands, go to the left island by surfing up and entering through an opening at the top of the island. Now enter the cave.It would be better to look at the pictures for this one.
Step 5
Once in take the only ladder shown down. To find the dad look and follow the picture shown ,once you’ve done that talk to Father Bob and that 3 of 4 family members down. Now retrace your steps back to that ladder you came down from. Go down the path from the ladder and continue until you find a ladder going down, go down that ladder and you will find Brother George, talk to him and that’s 4 of 4 family members down.
Ending the Quest
Retrace your steps you took out of the cave and go back and talk to Meredith, she will thank you and reward you a Dragon Scale.
