For this section, we will be using [http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/ Parallels for Mac]. Parallels costs US$79, but you can use other software like VMWare (US$50) or VirtualBox (Free, but untested). Some steps may differ if you are not using Parallels.

If you're using Solution A, you will need:
 +
* An Intel Mac (PowerPC Macs are not supported with this solution)
 +
* The Virtual Machine Software you will be using. You can use pretty much any software that supports Mac OS X, such as [http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/ Parallels Desktop for Mac] ($80), [http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html VMWare Fusion] ($50), or [https://www.virtualbox.org/ VirtualBox] (free, but not tested). '''NOTE:''' This guide will be using Parallels.
 +
* A license to the software you will be using.
 +
* A Windows XP or higher install disc/image file and a license (product key) for that version.
 +
* A Pokemon World Online account. (Register at the [http://playerdex.pokemon-world-online.net/ Playerdex])

'''Note:''' You will require a Windows install disc/image file and a license. We don't support piracy!

If you're using Solution B, you will need:

Attention!

This page is under construction. You should not use this as a guide for now. Also, PWO on a Mac is largely unsupported by the Developers. You will not get any support from them if you ask.

Requirements

If you're using Solution A, you will need:

  • An Intel Mac (PowerPC Macs are not supported with this solution)
  • The Virtual Machine Software you will be using. You can use pretty much any software that supports Mac OS X, such as Parallels Desktop for Mac ($80), VMWare Fusion ($50), or VirtualBox (free, but not tested). NOTE: This guide will be using Parallels.
  • A license to the software you will be using.
  • A Windows XP or higher install disc/image file and a license (product key) for that version.
  • A Pokemon World Online account. (Register at the Playerdex)

If you're using Solution B, you will need:

  • A Pokemon World Online account. (Register at the Playerdex)

Solutions

Solution A: Virtual Machine (Easy)

  1. Install Virtual Machine software
  2. Install VM Additions
  3. Install PWO, fixes if necessary

  3. install pwo
  4. fixes if necessary.
