Firefox Users
Firefox users can also use the add-on package ChatZilla, located at [1], to get an IRC Client within Firefox. This is endorsed by a large number of Firefox users and IRC Networks, so may be worth a small mention in the article. --Jinji, The Human Gengar (talk|contribs) 04:58, 14 November 2010 (GMT)
- I agree that it should be added ~ going to add. Ciaossu ~ Reborn 11:17, 14 November 2010 (GMT)
Additional MemoServ parameters
In addition to specifying the numbers of the Memo's to read, MemoServ's "READ" command has another parameter. READ LAST will automatically show the last message you've received, no matter how many memos you may actually have. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there's also a READ NEW parameter. Maybe check this out? --Jinji, The Human Gengar (talk|contribs) 05:06, 14 November 2010 (GMT)
- I'm sure I used READ NEW myself when I had a bunch of unread memos. Tenfold can memo spam me to extra check. Ciaossu ~ Reborn 11:17, 14 November 2010 (GMT)
- New shows all the unread memos at once Ciaossu ~ Reborn 16:16, 14 November 2010 (GMT)
Page Protection and Group Membership
I would suggest that those who have major roles in the PWO IRC should also be given permission to make modifications to this page. Perhaps make a new Group for IRC Staff to make this possible? --Jinji, The Human Gengar (talk|contribs) 14:00, 22 November 2010 (GMT)
- I've been wanting this myself although weren't sure since it seemed to be that you could only make it so groups could be able to edit all protection pages rather than one itself however after looking around and doing some testing. A new IRC_Staff group have been added who will only be able to edit this page. Ciaossu ~ Reborn 21:12, 22 November 2010 (GMT)
Chat Leaders & Authenticity
The chat leaders enlistment, found under the rulings sub-section, will require updating to remove Luke, who has chosen to resign months ago. The forum links, linking to their profiles, could also be updated, as they were last added when SMF was the forums board used, thus they are not using the current domain.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the chat is currently official, thus no longer considered a "third-party semi-official" chat; the IRC staff group is no longer regarded as a sub-staff group either, as long as the chat is official. Naero (talk) 18:08, 4 February 2013 (GMT)
