Cerulean Cave can be only accessed once you have completed the [[Cerulean Cave Quest]]. Cerulean Cave is located northwest of [[Cerulean City]]. It is famous because a certain NPC in this cave has the legendary Pokemon [[Mewtwo]] in which players may battle against.

It is recommended that you battle both trainers as you will need at least 3 reputation points in order to face Brock in Pewter City.

The route is also home to several patches of grass which only contain Rattata and Pidgey. The Pokémon on this route are low leveled and both wild Pokémon have a chance to drop items such as Pokéballs. Take advantage of the low level Pokémon and the trainers here to level up your starter Pokémon.
