Bulbasaur is one of six possible starters that a player may choose from when leaving Starters Island. To obtain a Bulbasaur as a starter Pokémon, it is necessary to start off in the Kanto region. Bulbasaur is the only starter that is a dual-type (Grass/Poison). At level 16, Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur, which then evolves into Venusaur at level 32. With a Medium Slow experience type, Bulbasaur reaches level 100 at approximately 9.1 million experience.

As a starter from Kanto, Bulbasaur is super-effective against the Pokémon of the first two gym leaders, Brock and Misty.

Locations

Currently, Bulbasaur can only be obtained by choosing it as your starter, by trade, or from the token store for 10,500 tokens.

It was also catchable during the following events:

Key: #1 - Easy, #2 - under 1 hour, #3 - 1-5 hours, #4 - 5-15 hours, #5 - 15+ hours
