Steelix is a Steel- and Ground-type Pokémon. It evolves from Onix by use of a Metal Coat. There is a slight chance that this Pokémon will drop a Metal Coat, thereupon defeating it in the wild. With a Medium Fast experience type, Steelix reaches level 100 at approximately 8.6 million experience.
