Chikorita is one of the six possible starters that a player may choose when leaving Starters Island. Chikorita is available as the Grass-type starter in the Johto region. It evolves into Bayleef at level 16, which evolves into Meganium at level 32. With a Medium Slow experience type, Chikorita reaches level 100 at approximately 9.1 million experience.
